SASA

Transcendental rock with elements of reggae and flamenco. That's what SASA presents with their first EP release on November 1st, 2023. Safoura Safavi was one of the founders of the groundbreaking Persian-Swedish world-pop band ABJEEZ (2005), which was one of the first Persian alternative bands after 40 years of political oppression. Safoura, who was born in Iran and grew up in northern Sweden, is also known as a flamenco singer, sound designer, and composer. She sings in Swedish, Persian, Spanish, and English. The band consists of the musicians Marcus Bouquelon (drums), David Douhan (electric guitar), Adrian Lussi (keyboard), and Safoura Safavi (bass & vocals). Together, they create a boundary-defying musical experience.
